SNAPS Announcement - NOFO/E-SNAPS Preparation

As you may have seen in HUD’s July 2, 2025, listserv message, the 2025 Continuum of Care (CoC) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is on the horizon. With that in mind — and with new e-snaps security measures coming online — we’re anticipating an uptick in password reset requests. Please share this message with your teams, renewal and potential new applicants, or anyone involved in preparing applications this year.

To help avoid any delays, here’s what we recommend for all CoC and project applicants:

🔐 Step 1: Log into your e-snaps account ASAP
Make sure you can access your account and take a moment to review your Project Applicant Profile. It’s always best to get ahead of any access issues before the NOFO is released.

📧 Step 2: Trouble logging in?
If you need a password reset, just email e-snaps@hud.gov  with:
• Your e-snaps username
• Your first and last name
This helps HUD’s support team locate your account quickly and get you back on track.

🔄 Step 3: Update your password
Once you receive your temporary password, log in and change it to something secure and easy for you to remember.

⏰ Bonus Tip: Log in at least once every 90 days
e-snaps accounts that sit idle for too long get deactivated — and that means another password reset. Regular logins help keep your account active and ready when you need it.

Taking just a few minutes now can save a lot of time and frustration later.

Thanks for staying ahead of the game!
